Oh, the excitement.

I'm up to round 73 on the doily; about 12 more to go. I'm having a good time picking what to work on next - a few quickie gifts, then back to the Pinwheel Jacket and Tut Tut. (When I'm working on sweaters I like to have two to choose from, for when I get frustrated or bored.) I'd show a photo but it looks just like yesterday's, only slightly larger.

Yesterday, while I was doing my reading marathon, I figured I could read in the front yard as well as in the house, so we set up the baby pool and plopped The Baby in it for most of the late afternoon. She figured out how to dunk her head in the water.

So the Baby had fun and I got to read and it was all good. Except we both got chewed up by mosquitos and I have a fire ant bite between my toes.

That's it at my house for the weekend. Knitting and baby pools.

Just look at the calm sense of achievement in that face! Nice shot, I can make out the water drops on the chin.

I took a day off from the book today so my older son would stop nagging me about it and I could let him live. (I knit by the baby pool...socks, of course;-)

Swimming pool shots. Love it.

You actually sound excited about what you're going to do next. It's great. Keep it up.
