My Elann order came today. (Why did I think Elann was in Canada? 'Cause they support Knitty? 'Cause they have US and Canadian dollars on their web site? 'Cause I'm an idiot?) I am now sure that the colors displayed on my computer monitor are inaccurate. But it's not too bad.



Actually, I don't think the color on my camera is accurate either... but that's dark green Highland Wool for the husbeast's Christmas sweater. It's going to be kind of a fisherman's gansey; there's a whole other bag of the wool, but you get the idea.



This is 100% cotton Sonata, destined for a ME project after Christmas. I don't wanna get into it to much because it may well become a Knitty article and Amy prefers we not blast photos of our designs around the internet before she publishes them (I will give you a hint, though - Horst Schultz). I like the variegated, but I'm not thrilled with all the contrast colors - that brownish orange is supposed to be peach. I need to order more colors. (I love ordering more colors.) Some peach, some hot pink, some yellow. Yeah. Needs yellow. I can wear bright yellow in small amounts without looking like I have liver disease.

Remember when I said I slipped and fell on my credit card and bought some crochet cotton? Here it is, since I was taking photos of yarn anyway:



600 yards of DMC #10 crochet cotton, variegated. I want to knit up a doily or three with it and see what happens. It'll either be totally cool or an utter mess. No middle of the road for me.

And these just happened to jump into my hand while I was out picking up some tapestry needles the other night:



Blue ombre tatting thread. Size 80. Because the size 70 wasn't crazy enough. More lace. Maybe next year's state fair entry. Ahahaha.
