(The good moods, they are so fleeting...)
It's WINTER. BLOODY DAMNED WINTER. CAN THE BUGS GIVE ME A BREAK FOR THREE DAMNED MONTHS WHILE I FREEZE???
Apparently not.
I killed it by pouring liquid hand soap over it. Bah. Fucking bugs. Fucking swamp. (I know, I know. I've seen much larger spiders in my day, too. BUT STILL. It's WINTER!)
...the good mood will likely be back. The Goober has made up a song to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb. "All the way to Christmas time, fa la la, fa la la. All the way to Christmas time, fa la la la la." Not bad for three. I think she made it up because she couldn't remember the words to Jingle Bells, which she was trying to sing just a minute ago.

Swamps suck. Snow and ice and sub-zero sucks too. As does the stinking desert. Guess you get to take your choice of suckage.
The Goober is an unqualified delight.
Swamps sound ick:( Goober is a giggle:)
That is a big damned spider... but I like Goober's Christmas song very much:-)
Ok you better video the new song so she doens't forget it too.
LOL
Pam
spam word is : cocri. Is that when all of your friends get together and watch a sad movie crying at the same time?
Come move to the north east---we'll trade you bugs for week-long losses of power?
In in southern New England and the temp fluctuations mean the bugs aren't dying. They're coming into the house instead. Yesterday it was 60; today we have freezing rain. It's been like this for weeks. Stupid bugs just won't die.
(PS if you move to CT can we meet?)
That is one big spider to share a shower with. Love the Goob's song. I'm with Pam at 12:35, video, please.
spam word is grantion--the process of becoming a grandparent?
Aw, come on, my whole state is basically a swamp! I killed a mosquito in the house last Thursday when it was 24 degrees F out.
fulemi "Fule MI"? "fool MI"? "fuel me"?
Yea, we still have bugs. It hasn't been cold enough long enough. That 65 degree day yesterday gave them all hope for a longer life! And, like Amy, we have the freezing rain today. Weird.
I totally get the being grateful thing. I'm reminding myself everyday that I have it pretty darn good.
Among the good things in life I have to be grateful for is reading your blog! The Goob is ALMOST as fabulous as my 3 year old granddaughter (who is a gem herself), and you are beyond compare. Have a glorious holiday; you deserve it.
