Remember the post office that ate my shipment of yarn last spring? I hadn't been back since, but instead shipped from the next town over or the Air Force base. But I was in a hurry today and stopped to mail a package. When I asked how late they were open today, the woman helping me went into immediate, full rant about how there had been 'complaints about customer service' and they were now open until five. Every day. Including Saturday. I imagine what happened was, after a million complaints, the post master investigated and realized that they opened an hour later than they arrived in the morning (about nine AM) and closed an hour earlier than they left (four PM) and laid down the law.
Hahahahaha. Now they actually have to do their jobs. Poor babies.

Your post office sucks even among post offices! Can you set it up so that you can do the postage from home and just have your friendly mail-person come pick them up?
I always feel like the post office people have me over a barrel. They are all-powerful and can do what they want. Nice to know that there is a little accountability behind that counter!
My closest local post office is about the SIZE of a barrel. I kid you not, the building might be 12 feet by 12 feet square. Tops.
But the postmistress there is such a sweetie. Which I was reminded of all over again when I had to go into not-so-local Big post office and deal with the not-so-sweet counter women there. Men in Black II has it so right.
And my verification word is "ybint". "Bint!" [rude snigger]
See...we need you at that Natomas Fed/Ex, we really do...
