The little number on my sidebar, below the map showing where my readers are, is a hit counter. I got it from www.statcounter.com for free, and it keeps track of other stuff, like what links people used to get to my blog, and where they're located.
In fact, it gave me the topics for my last two Knitty articles, because I was getting a huge amount of hits from google searches for 'how to block lace' and 'how to dye yarn with food color'.
re dying: I took Colorblind Giraffe to show off to friends - no swooning, exactly, but certainly exclamations of pleasure when they felt how SOFT it is and the delightful colors!! It's to be a new baby sweater for a boy. Simply couldn't be more perfect - soft, washable, colorful- think I'll knit from both ends, just in case. it's pure luxury - thanks! Lurking Lilly
I'm currently a stay at home mother, freelance writing on my off time, wondering how I became part of the ten thousand year old tradition of raising the kids while creating textiles.
I grew up in NE Ohio dairy country, married a sailor, lived in Hawaii ten years, lived in SC for five years, then moved back to culture shock and confusion.
Nothing but good times ahead.

How do you know that? What stats? Is that a blogger thing or something else? I'm so clueless, AND blogger ate my comment.
