Quote of the day.

So I'm talking to the Goob (who still has a head cold, remember, and lisps when she's excited to boot) about how we'll be moving. You know, give her time to think about it a little before we pack up everything she owns and haul it two hours away.

ME: So, what do you think? We'll have fun there.

GOOB: We're booving to PIGSBIRD?

ME: Yup. That's it exactly.

GOOB: Okay.

Call me crazy, I'm not quite sure she gets it.

I've had conversations like that with my little people and sure enough they do actually get it. The reality of it might take a while to hit, i.e. no Grandparents on tap constantly, but like Wikiboo I also think she gets it!

Well, close enough. My sister as a child came up with stuff like that, most of it oddly appropriate: "Highway Johnson", for example, or "Crawley" for "trolley" (which was the transportation system in Boston where we lived).

Well, yeah, she'll totally love Pigsbird. She gets it. She'll be happy to have her own space again and have parents who aren't slightly panicked half the time about jobs and other boring stuff.
