Yeah, I forgot.

The husbeast politely reminded me this morning that I forgot to post yesterday. It went something like this:

"You missed yesterday. You fail." (Perhaps it was "You suck." I don't quite remember, it was early and I hadn't had my tea yet.) Then he went on, speculating that perhaps I could change the date on my computer, go back and blog something. He didn't say the next bit right then, but it's one of his favorite sayings, "If you're not cheating, you're not trying hard enough."

Anyway. Trying to think of something interesting to blog, and fear it may be another day of plant postings. Anyone got a favorite plant they wanna know about?

(Besides. Bloglines uses the time and date in the Google servers, not what's on my computer... so I can't fix it. Ha.)

I can't remember - have you done stevia? I'm trying to find out why it is considered to have a 'steroid type' molecular structure, and if it's a 'good' steroid or a 'bad' steroid.
Just throwin' it out there...

Currently kinda liking tomato - have two on our windowsill that are *finally* going red and are the most fantastic toms ever. Usually my answer is Lavender or Rosemary.

Some how I don't think the blogtober police will come to your house and yell at you. "I forgot" was one of Steve Martin's best bits ever and I think you're perfectly within your rights to use it.

Personally, I think you should expound on Magnolias. I remember my botany teacher saying something about them being one of the oldest kinds of seeds.....

Hey, it is a tall order, posting every day! You are doing awesome, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!
Thanks for the corn post, btw. It adds great variety to my ability to pull weird trivia out of the air on long car rides. :-)

I would like to know more about Papalo.
It is an herb that I ate in Puebla Mexico. It was on a grinder type sandwich that had meat, cheese, marinated onions, avocado and marinated chipotle chiles.
I bought some seeds and brought them back home to grow. I haven't had much luck growing this herb here in So. Calif.

Papalo is so delicious. It makes a sandwich, soup or salsa very tasty. It is stronger than cilantro. I love it and wish that Mexican restaurants would use it.
Why isn't it in all our grocery stores?

Have you done ginkgo?
My all time favorite is Black-eyed Susans.
Skunk cabbage is also interesting. I recall reading somewhere that skunk cabbage can warm up the air inside the flower hood so that bees will be attracted in to pollinate them. I don't know if this is true or not. They do bloom pretty early in the spring when it's still cold out.

Oh, man, I know there's a way to change the post date. Ah!

At the bottom of the posting screen, Post Options, if you click it, opens up Post Date and Time.

bu wah hah hah!

"You suck?" Is that all he's got. Tell him his shit is weak and he needs to make you breakfast or go build something. (spamword: emortise emo-tortoise? enormous dead thing? The mind boggles.)

Yeah, I would like a Ginko post, too. And there's always edible fungi.

A challenge is not a mandate. Next time he says, "You suck." tell him, "You wish."
