The Goober is currently sleeping peacefully in her new, big bed.
Sideways.

For those of you asking where I got the watch parts, eBay. Do a search for "Steampunk watch parts" and go with the cheapest of what turns up. I'd tell you who the vendor was, but I can't remember and the packaging isn't labeled - just watch parts in an envelope.

My Goober (Isobel - 5 year old) usually looks like she's been shot when she's sleeping - sprawled, often sideways, across the bed. I wonder when they start to sleep "straight".
I was a flipper. I would go to bed one way, wake up in the middle of the night the other, and then wake up in the morning in a totally different position.
Even if she occasionally flings herself off the bed, she'll be fine. She'll learn to keep her room clean that way!
crazy girl!
Kathleen, my husband still ends up nearly sideways in our king size bed--and he's 70, so the answer is, "never."
Steampunk yarn sounds really cool, but how does it work that watch parts are strung unto yarn and don't weigh it down so that it sags all over the place??
And the Goober's comforter is absolutely adorable!
Wait until she's upside down....
A friend of mine went to an antiques market last week and bought 15 dead watches for $12, which she's been breaking apart to make her steampunk jewelry. I would also dive in, but I already have way too many hobbies!
I can't wait to see how the yarn knits up.
