Double poop.

[I'll get to a fashion designer in a minute. First I need to whine.]

This isn't the right color blue, either.

Fuck it. I'm gonna just get some silk/merino and dye it myself. This stuff, I'll spin into sock yarn. The silk should act much like nylon - nylon was invented to be artificial silk to begin with. Not as stretchy, but ten times as durable.

Otherwise, I'm getting ready to ply the last of the blue silk that also wasn't the right color.

And the Goob has a new word. "Hunormous". This is another one that'll see regular use, like eleventeen, and henno [hello]. "Wook, mumma, the block wall is HUNORMOUS!"

round here, yellow is Lello. And what sort of blue are you looking for, I can't remember if you said and I forgot (today has been one of those days) or you didn't say...

Around here we whisper "hot", have for nearly 30 years ever since the first one was a toddler. Love "hunormous." That Goob is a keeper.

Now see--I thought yellow was yeddo, and sunshine was shunsine... Gooberisms have been charming parents for yeras...

Sorry about the color thing... funny how blue can be a thousand things and never the blue you wanted!

Oh, "hunormous" is such a wonderful word! I'm adding it to my regular vocabulary.

My daughter used to say "wippershyers" for "windshield wipers"; I personally invented "burgular". My sister had a hearing problem as a child & came up with "Highway Johnson", which was perfect; she also called the Boston trolleys "crawleys", likewise perfect.

Poiret - squeeeeeeeeee!

I love the move away from corsets, and also the lampshade dress - hey, it hides the "problem" (aka hunormous) tummy/butt/hips and thighs areas perfectly! And fun!

Sian invented 'stupideous' which is the perfect description for many things - most politicians, many forms of disease and almost the entire non-knitting population (on some days only) - also useful for extremely dumb drivers!

Thanks for the designers series - I'm loving it!

It's so hard to pick colors online. I don't generally buy unless I can squoosh the yarn.

Kid words are so much fun! My husband called the windshield wipers "whimper wipers".

A couple of my son's were "hanga-ber" for hamburger (hanga rhymes with kanga, as in roo), punk-mins for pumpkins, and one that has firmly taken root is "dinghoot".

A dinghoot is a complete idiot. Someone who drives like a sheep (from "Sheep in A Jeep") is a dinghoot. It is very satisfying to yell! "You dinghoot!"
