Definitely.

Definitely have shingles. I'm on Valtrex for them. Last time I took this drug, it kicked my ass, but so far I seem to be tolerating it all right. We'll see how long it lasts.

Definitely mad at the storage facility. We unpacked my wine glasses and stuff this morning, and not one was broken. Which means the packers did a wonderful job. I know the movers at this end did a wonderful job because I watched them. Which leaves the weak link in the chain. Boutai will be kicked.

Definitely have cool in-laws. They ate on the way here so that I wouldn't have to cook for them and not feel obligated. They didn't eat breakfast either; they got up with the Goober at six AM and were on the road at seven, planning to get an hour or so down the road and then eat. So all I had to do was hang out with them for a while last night and chat, and hug them a couple times. They even brought their own bedding and made up the guest room bed for themselves.

Definitely getting more done without having to corral, argue, punish, or find the Goober every five minutes.

Definitely glad to see my stuff. I hugged my iced tea maker about an hour ago. Everything I don't remember owning is going in the trash; everything I missed is hugged and cleaned off (not necessarily in that order).

Definitely having a good day.

oh no on the shingles, and the storage facility:(

Yay to cool in laws and finding forgotten treasures!

The inlaws sound like they've been in your spot before and know what would be appreciated :)

Hopefully you'll get the storage facility issues sorted out quickly and relatively painlessly (for you not for them).

My mother got shingles once and it was horrible...luckily they gave her some super duper very expensive medicine that fixed her up pretty quick because she had a drug plan...not sure if it's the same drug or not....

Your inlaws sound like mine...super that is...I remember mine coming to visit and slaving over cabbage rolls for them but then they called to say they were at the campground and not to worry they were having alpha-ghetti. I remember teasing them once they did get over and Don said did you say you made cabbage rolls and I said...not for you ...you had alpha getti.

This is why you moved up there - so the in-laws would be handy when you needed them. Bless them richly and abundantly!!

Glad to hear you're having a good day despite the case of shingles. Get well soon, and thank goodness for your in-laws. :)

Ha. You'll have it 90% sorted and put away before you know it.

It's that last 10% that sneaks off into the top shelves of closets and hangs around for months and years.

Having had the shingles and not recognising that's what it was until two weeks later when the kids came down with the Chicken Pox I'd like to say "Way to Go Julie!" for working out what was wrong with you and getting it sorted quick. Me, nope just figured I had heat rash that was excruciating. I hope your shingles goes away quickly and it isn't too bad while it's here.
Congrats on recovering all of your belongings and add some extra oomph to your "butt kicking" from my direction for those lazy sods who didn't store your stuff properly. Scum should have their own stuff stored for a while and see how they like it when it comes back gross and damaged.

Yay stuff unpacked! Boo to Shingles. Take it easy on the stuff you don't remember owning. I find things I purchased and forgot about and it's like a suprise birthday present! The only upside of my increasing forgetfullness...

I love the idea of sorting your stuff by what you've missed and what you haven't - maybe I should try that.

Hope the meds sort the shingles soon without too many side effects. Having had shingles I know they're awful. Take care!

You have great inlaws. I hope the meds do their thing and leave your ass alone this time. It's so much easier to do things without a child around!

I just had a horrible thought. You have air conditioning to unpack and sleep in, don't you?

I hope you're feeling better. Kiss your in-laws for me. They're the best.

So sorry about the shingles. And the storage... and hope whatever they're giving you works this time...

And very glad the in-laws could whisk the Goober away for the moment...
