There have been a lot of funny blog entries and news stories lately that I keep meaning to link to, and then forget. So here we go.
Franklin has written a funny post about what he's learned from lace knitting. As always, it's spot-on and a laugh into the bargain.
Smart Bitches, Trashy Books, has done a list kind of like that 'what food are you?' quiz, but it's 'what romance author is which food?'. If you read romances, you will laugh out loud. If you don't, you won't get the jokes, so don't bother.
Judges are finally looking into FBI wiretapping that went on after 9-11 and realizing much of it was illegal and demanding records be handed over or shredded, etc. I don't get too political around here so I'll confine myself to one statement: It's about fucking time.
Someone is selling Tetris refrigerator magnets.
Last and possibly weirdest, someone recently pulled up a blue lobster near Groton, CT. Apparently it's a mutation that's been seen before. The lobster was declared 'too pretty to eat' and last I heard is residing in the Mystic Aquarium.
Makes me glad I'm allergic to shellfish.

One of Mystic's blue lobsters lives in the touch tank (not that you can touch it, obviously), and we see it every visit--we're members.
Speaking of blue, thanks for the theory on the Arizona Blue yarn. I hadn't even thought of turquoise, but that makes a lot of sense.
Speaking of links ...

"too pretty to eat"... that makes me sad... at least he'll have a nice life at the aquarium.
i think i've been knitting too many socks because i looked at the lobster and thought, "now THAT would be the perfect blue for a pair of toe-socks, like little Grover (from Sesame Street) feet."
Okay...so need to but the smart-bitches blog site in my sidebar--them womens rock!
(OH..and re: your last entry...damn, sweetheart...you are so smart and so talented...If I could teach myself to fricken' crochet BACKWARDS--I'm left-handed--and then teach dumbass hs students how to do it while using my RIGHT hand...it's no contest...you're golden... I have no doubts...)
Speaking of links, I nominated you for a blogger's choice award. Hope I did a good enough job describing what you're doing here.
