Oh, yes, the post-service thing is to grow lots & lots of hair. I live near West Point, know a lot of West Point Band members. Every one of them, upon getting out, immediately grows some sort of facial hair & lots of head hair!
The Goob is big! It looks to have been a great day.
the husbeast has grown a beard! Is that a post-forces thing?
ReplyDeleteAnd the Goob looks like such a little girl sitting up there. Not really a toddler any more is she?
Just how long have I been reading your blog? She was just a BABY last week!!
You let a little girl ride a pony? This can't end well. ;D
ReplyDelete"the husbeast has grown a beard! Is that a post-forces thing?"
ReplyDeleteyeah, or a, "hooray for a month of leave time a year I'm going to ignore grooming stadards because they suck" thing.
Looks like fun! And yeah--what bells said! Looks like SOMEONE is glad to be out of the Navy!
ReplyDeleteMy Auntie Cele used to say she was going to tie a brick on our heads so we'd stop growing so fast. Would you please tie one on the Goob? Please?
ReplyDeleteBells, it must be a post-service thing. My son grew a goatee as soon as he left the Army and only shaved it off when his fiancee objected.

I remember riding the pony-ring pony when I was just about that big!
ReplyDeleteThe pony rides were my absolute favorite thing as a little girl. The Goob looks like she's having a great time!
